Jessica is a lawyer in Toronto, Canada.
She holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto, a Juris Doctor from Queen’s University, a Certificate in European Business Law from EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht in Germany, and a Global Professional Master of Laws from the University of Toronto.
As an experienced barrister, Jessica has worked with the Department of Justice Canada, the Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund, and the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General. She has litigated and prosecuted matters before the Superior Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice Unified Family Court, and the Ontario Court of Justice. She has also presented at the Ontario Court of Appeal.
As a seasoned solicitor, Jessica has worked as in-house legal counsel for a healthcare corporation where she led the legal review and strategic advice on a wide variety of corporate and commercial matters from the negotiations of multi-million dollar contracts to governance and fiduciary duties.
Jessica is the recipient of several awards and honours including: the Ontario Prix Excelsior Award in Outstanding Achievement, Ontario Exceptional Rating, Queen’s University Faculty of Law Feminist Jurisprudence Award, Queen’s University Faculty of Law Torys Public Internship Award, Queen’s University Faculty of Law Entrance Scholarship, University of Toronto Graduate of High Distinction, University of Toronto Diefenbaker Essay Prize, University of Toronto Social Science Summer Scholar, and University of Toronto Dean’s List.
Outside of her legal practice, Jessica volunteers her time with Toronto Lawyers Feed the Hungry, sits on the Board of Directors for her condominium corporation, and enjoys travelling, running, and finding the city’s best pain au chocolat.
